Paul and Donna requested help with siding and a handicap accessible ramp. But once ASP volunteers began working on the home, they discovered significant safety issues with the electrical service.
ASP’s Cup of Cold Water Fund provided for an electrician to remove and replace the unsafe wiring and electrical panel, bringing the house up to code and dramatically reducing the risk of a house fire.
In 1974, ASP established the Cup of Cold Water Fund (CCW) to address basic utility projects—essential needs like upgrading or installing plumbing and electrical systems—ensuring that families live in safe and healthy homes.
Each year, ASP raises funds beyond our general operating budget to underwrite these projects. Through a competitive internal award process, we ensure that every dollar is maximized to provide the greatest benefit to families in need.
Your gift today to ASP’s Cup of Cold Water Fund will help ensure that everyone we serve has safe plumbing and reliable electrical systems.
